Massage Thai Yoga
What is thai yoga massage?
Traditional Thai massage is an ancient healing art dating back from 2500 years ago. The technique incorporates Tai Chi moves, rhythmic motion, palming and thumbing along the ten main energy lines (Sen lines). The main purpose of Thai massage is to clear blockages and allow energy to flow freely along the Sen lines. Performed on a floor mat, the practitioner uses her hands, feet, arms and legs to guide the recipient in various yoga postures through conscious use of breathing. The recipient becomes then more aware of his areas of tension where the breath is impeded. Following a session numerous are the effects; relief of low back pain, arthritis, headaches, digestive difficulties or menopausal problems. Although dynamic, Thai Yoga Massage is deeply relaxing, enabling the body, emotional and mind centers to naturally find equilibrium. As with any yoga practice, blood and lymph circulation are increased and internal organs are being tonified. Moreover, the variety of stretching and joint isolation exercises helps to increase joint mobility and flexibility, relieving therefore muscular and emotional tensions.
On a deeper level, the immune system is being strengthened, toxins from the body are cleared out and at last, endorphins are released. Thai Yoga Massage respects each person's body type and level of flexibility.
